Attorney Robert Alwine


Robert Alwine is an AV Preeminent rated trial lawyer and a Commander with the United States Navy Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps.  He has over 18 years of experience representing clients in state court, federal court, and on appeal. Mr. Alwine began his legal career with the U.S. Navy JAG Corps as a prosecutor and defense counsel based in Washington, D.C. and Sicily, Italy.  Mr. Alwine represented clients in Italy, Malta, Sardinia, Germany, and Bahrain.  He has been awarded the American Bar Association Award for Professional Excellence (for attaining highest standing upon graduation from Naval Justice School), the Navy Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three times), the Navy Achievement Medal (twice), the National Defense Service Medal, the Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Pistol Marksmanship Ribbon. He continues to serve as a reserve officer with the U.S. Navy.  As a reserve officer, he was recognized for his work with civil litigation division of the Office of the Judge Advocate General by being awarded the Rear Admiral Hugh H. Howell, Jr. Award of Excellence in 2013 and promotion to the rank of Commander (O-5). Mr. Alwine has maintained a civilian law practice representing individuals and companies in the areas of business litigation, contract litigation, condominium association litigation, real estate litigation, construction litigation, and arbitration. Robert was selected to serve as the Chair of the Florida Bar Association Attorney Grievance Committee 11 “G” for 2013.  He has been recognized as Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent attorney for ethical standards and legal ability. He is married and has five children.
